Why this one

  • The supplier's VAT, countedPrintful, Printify and Gelato add 20% VAT to UK orders, and the file counts it on the shipping too. If you are VAT registered, you reclaim it and the file takes the VAT out of your UK sales instead.
  • Every Etsy UK fee, not just the 6.5%The listing fee, the transaction fee on the postage too, 4% + £0.20 processing, the 0.48% regulatory operating fee, your share of Offsite Ads and 20% VAT on the fees.
  • Etsy or your own Shopify siteShopify Payments rates, the 25p per order fee and your plan spread across your orders, with one listing shown on both side by side.
  • A price for your marginFees grow with the price, so the file works out the price that leaves your target margin after all of them, then rounds it up to .99.
  • 20 example supplier pricesT-shirts, mugs, posters, hoodies and tote bags from Printful, Printify and Gelato, with UK and EU shipping, ready to check and update in a minute.

How it works

  • Check the supplier pricesOn Supplier costs, check the examples against your supplier today and add the products you use
  • Price each listingOn Price calculator, pick the product, Etsy or Shopify, UK or EU, and type your price and postage. The profit and a suggested price appear
  • Log each orderOn Sales log, add each order. The Dashboard shows what you kept each month

Who it is for

UK print on demand sellers on Etsy or Shopify using Printful, Printify, Gelato or another supplier, from the first design to a full shop. Print on demand means the supplier prints and posts each item only when someone orders it, so you never hold stock. Most small sellers are not VAT registered. If you are, there is one switch for it on Settings.

Questions

Do I need Microsoft Excel?

No. It comes with a Google Sheets version, which is free with a Google account. The Excel file also opens in the free web version of Excel.

How do I get it?

Straight after payment it is in your library on this site: the Excel file, the PDF guide and the Open me first page with the Google Sheets button.

Are the supplier prices up to date?

They are examples read on the suppliers' own websites, and suppliers change their prices often. Check them against your supplier and type the new figure, and every tab follows.

Does it work if I sell to the EU?

Yes. Pick UK or EU for each listing. The supplier's VAT follows where the order goes, for example 19% for Germany.

Is this tax or financial advice?

No. It is a pricing tool to help you work out your own prices, with no promise of sales or profit. Etsy and Shopify change their fees from time to time, so check them before you rely on them.
