The path I took — and why.

I built the foundation of an e-commerce business while still in my £60k job. Started learning in August 2024. Launched the first product in March 2025. Left the job in August 2025 once the business was strong enough to stand on its own. In the 12 months after launch, it grew to £500k in revenue.

For years I followed the standard formula: study hard, get a good job, wait for a promotion, retire at 65. That formula no longer delivers what it once promised.

The answer isn't to quit recklessly. It's to build intelligently:
