Who it is for
Sole traders and side hustlers in the UK who keep their own books: anyone selling in their own name rather than through a limited company, with or without a salary beside it. Self assessment is the yearly tax return a sole trader sends to HMRC, and SA103 is the self employment part of that return. Only switch VAT on if you are VAT registered.
Questions
Do I need Microsoft Excel?
No. Each spreadsheet has a Google Sheets version, which is free with a Google account. The Excel files also open in the free web version of Excel.
How do I get it?
Straight after payment it is in your library on this site: two zip files and the bundle Open me first page with the Google Sheets button for each spreadsheet.
Which tax year is it set for?
The 2026/27 tax year. Every rate and threshold sits on a Settings tab, so you can update it when HMRC changes a figure.
I am a limited company director. Is this for me?
The self assessment file is for sole traders. The invoice tracker, mileage log and cash flow forecast work for any small business. A director salary and dividend calculator is sold separately on this site.
Is this tax advice?
No. The figures are your own, worked out to help you plan. Your accountant and HMRC have the final say.

Made by Izhar Shah. I built a brand in the evenings alongside a full-time engineering job, and in its first twelve months it passed £500,000 in sales. I make the sheets I wish I had when I started.
